Course Aims

This course will enable delegates to fully use the Access Dimensions Cashbook module as well as looking at Bank Reconciliation and Automated Bank Reconciliation.

Course Outline

The Cashbook module provides a quick and easy means of viewing and consolidating cash balances and reconciling Nominal Accounts that have been designated as Bank Accounts or Petty Cash Accounts.

To simplify the entry of missing transactions, the main Cashbook window provides access to Sales, Purchase and Nominal transaction entry functions.

Automated Bank Reconciliation

The Automated Bank Reconciliation module enables you to

Import transactions from an online bank statement (multiple bank formats available)
Match transactions automatically to the unreconciled payments and receipts that are held in the relevant bank account in Dimensions

Improved administration features - provides facilities that enable you to save and administer copies of your bank statements, make adjustments and keep notes etc
Better flexibility- use both manual and automatic reconciliation, save and continue working before updating the system

N.B Automated Bank Reconciliation is an enhancement to existing reconciliation facilities that are available under the reconciliation option in Cashbook. You can still use all the reconciliation features in Cashbook should you so wish, both options will be covered in this course
