Instructions for installing 2010 VAT Changes Service Packs
Please note the following instructions for installing the service pack:
steps 3, 4 and 7 will need to be repeated on every machine that runs Dimensions. Steps 5 and 6 will need to be done on each machine if you are not using centralised reporting for either your documents or your reports.
Once this has been completed log in to Dimensions on one work station as the SA user. The software will upgrade, and the service packs will be applied to the database. Once applied, log in to the database again as the SA user and go to System Control> Options> System Options> Documents> XML Formats. Here you will need to load the settings for the XML formats so that the VAT features can be used. You will need to import the XML formats for the EC Sales Lists (if applicable) and the VAT 100 return (this will be required from April 1st 2010 for online filing of VAT return).
After this has been done each user can log in to Dimensions. The service pack will be applied to the software.
