FocalPoint Resource Scheduler

This module provides anyone who has to manage multiple rates, people, equipment and jobs with a simple tool to maximise resources as efficiently and profitably as possible. The graphical format of the scheduler provides instant visibility of resources available – while a powerful skills matrix ensures that jobs and skills are appropriately matched.

Allocating Resources

Users can group resources by department, function and area and allocate them quickly and simply onto the graphical timeline. Resources can also be colour-coded for easy viewing for their status and for instant visibility of ‘white days’. Multiple charge-out rates can be set against each resource to ensure costs are allocated correctly where one person has the skills to carry out a variety of tasks.

The Scheduler also prevents bookings being made where the resource is unavailable, for example, when the resource is already booked or the person is on holiday.

Skills Matrix

The Skills Matrix within the module is used to help project managers assign the correct resource to a project/task based on their skills, experience and capabilities. The matrix can then match the available and competent resources to run these courses. Integration with the Expenses module allows expenses to be automatically added to any booking.

Resource Visibility

The Scheduler can be viewed by three month period to plan resources at a high level, with monthly, bi-weekly and weekly views also available depending on the timeframe the user wishes to work with.

Drill-down within the Scheduler itself provides detail-level information about the booking itself, for example, work to be done, the project/s against which the work is to be allocated and associated costs/charge out rates. Projects are searchable to ensure billable activity has not been overlooked, for example, the ability to quickly identify jobs that are complete but not invoiced.

Sales Invoices

Resource Scheduler provides an option to automatically create sales invoices for bookings; multiple invoices can also be consolidated for the client to approve.

Recurring Bookings

An easy to use drag and drop/copy and paste facility makes it simple to set up recurring bookings and appointments for repeat projects.
