Access has acquired Canterbury based Select Software, a provider of web-enabled HR solutions. The acquisition is part of Access's strategy to invest in, and expand, its software portfolio and services beyond the finance function, providing a complete suite of organisation-wide business solutions. This acquisition will bring customers clarity of information across the entire finance and HR functions, through an integrated system.

We're dedicated to adding real customer value by extending the reach of our software portfolio and services through this solid web-based HR offering. The highlight of the day was receiving the coveted title of 2009 Access Dealer of the Year. This award recognises Elite's sustained and continuing growth withthe Access Product range. The Access Dealer of the Year was not the only accolade Elite received we were one of an exclusive number of dealers to be awarded a 2009 Excellence award. We were also nominated in the category for outstanding acheivement of the year and our Sales Director, Tahir Iqbal was nominated as sales person of the year.

Trading Services With The EU
If you buy and sell a material level of services with other EU countries, then new VAT rules come into effect from 1st January. Your software will need updating to cater for these new requirements.
VAT Rate
From 1st January, the VAT rate reverts back to 17.5%. All invoices raised on or after thsi date, must use the new VAT rate. For Access Dimensions customers the software will cope with the change in VAT rate, however you may wish to upgrade to take advantage of some additional features which will help with the transistion.
April 1st Compulsory Online VAT Submission
From April 1st it will become compulsory for a majority of UK businesses to submit VAT returns online.
The latest release of Access Dimensions - 2.50 has bought a wealth of new product features and modules, the highlight of the new release is the Access Dashboard module. Access Dashboard is a real-time management information console that communicates key business activities, such as targets, performance levels, movements and trends, in a high visual format. Entirely web based, this tool draws information from single or multiple data sources, enable graphical monitoring of key metrics, from corportate level right down to the infividual.
Other key enhancements include stock forecasting, enhanced purchase invoice register and improvements to the Accounting for Carbon Emissions and Office Integration Modules.

This week Elite Business Services has made a smooth move to our new premises in Allesley, Coventry. Our phone lines are now fully working and we acheived a seamless transition of our I.T systems.
Our new offices in Sycamore Court have excellent facilities for staff and customers with conference and training rooms as well as a chill-out conservatory and a garden complete with orchard and rabbits!
